Tattoos and Piercings!

Question: I am a male who served four years in the military. I am now a college student. We have students from 18 years old to 60-something years old. I am 23. On the first day of class, I was walking behind a female student. I thought, walking behind her, that she looked terrific! She had one beautiful body. The more we walked, the more I realized that she might be in my class. Just before we entered a classroom building, she turned around and I was dazzled . . . by the reflected sunlight from her face. She had piercings in her lips, her ears, her eyebrows, her nose and she even had some spike sticking out from her chin. She was in my class. I sat one row over from her and looked at her. If she didn't have all those piercings (she also had one in her tongue, I noticed), she would be an extremely attractive woman. I lost all interest in asking her out for a date. I looked across the room and noticed a woman around 30 who had tattoos all over her arms. Her blouse hid what appeared to be more tattoos that continued under her blouse. They looked gross to me. Now I started looking for them. I saw tattoos on ankles, legs, the back of the waist and on arms. I saw piercings all over both women's and men's faces. I even saw one guy who had ear plugs like the Mayans used to wear. Totally gross to me. My question to you is what do you think of all these piercings and tattoos that people are putting on their bodies now? Michael Whitfield, Trenton, New Jersey

Answer: As long as it harms no one, to each his own.

Beautiful! I could not agree more with you. I have several piercings and two tattoos. They hurt no one (except myself when I had them done). If some guy chooses not to date me because of them, that is his right. But I have the right to express myself. Thank you for your answer.
